Pattonville duo named semifinalists at national speech and debate competition

Pattonville 2017 graduates Jordan Bolton and Ethan Hughes earned the title of 2017 national semifinalists in international public forum debate after competing in the weeklong National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) national tournament in Birmingham, Alabama.

The two members of the Pattonville speech and debate team earned the recognition after competing against elite teams from the U.S., China and Japan. The national tournament hosted more than 3,500 high school students and is the largest academic competition in the world. Teacher Jennifer Raymond coaches the Pattonville speech and debate team.
