CLASS RING ORDERS will be collected in the Commons during lunch sessions today, September 7.  Order packets are available in the Activities Office.  A $50 deposit is requested.

SENIORS:  Attend the workshop today, September 7, on Competitive College Admission and Writing Essays with Washington University from 1:15-2:30pm. in the College Center.

THE WEIGHT ROOM WILL BE CLOSED after school today, September 7.

Today's meetings are as follows:
  • THE FIBER ARTS CLUB (formerly known as Knitting Club) will have its first meeting in Ms. Mulanax's room, E206.
  • FCCLA-CFO is meeting in Mrs. Saputo's room, E212.
  • PLEASE HELP THE PIRATE CODE LEADERSHIP TEAM WELCOME 109 NEW STUDENTS TO PHS FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR.  These students have passes and should report to the Commons at the beginning of Contact Time.
  • RENAISSANCE will not meet during Contact Time today, September 7.

COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE PHS PIRATES at the home football game tomorrow night, September 8.  The theme is Green Out.  See you at 7pm!

HOMECOMING DANCE GUEST PERMISSION FORMS will be available from September 11 - 29 in the Activities Office.  If you plan to bring a guest who DOES NOT ATTEND PHS, you will need this form completed before purchasing tickets.

CALLING ALL DANCERS!  If you are interested in being a part of the Drill Team program, now is your chance!  Winter tryouts will be held Tuesday, September 12 and Thursday, September 14 from 4:30-6:30pm in the upper gym.  Swing by the Activities Office to pick up an information packet.  You will need a physical on file to participate in the tryout.

WANT TO MAKE BETTER GRADES?  Be at school.  Students whose attendance rate is 90% or above accumulate a GPA that is a full letter grade higher than students below 90% attendance.

Remember the Pirate Code.  Be Respectful.  Be Responsible.  Be Involved.

LAST WEEK THE PIRATE CODE LEADERSHIP TEAM KICKED OFF THEIR INCENTIVE PROGRAM FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR.  Each Friday one staff and one student winner are selected through a drawing of Pirate Code tickets that are submitted for the week.  Winners receive a variety of incentives including $10 gift cards to local stores, restaurants, Rock Star reserved parking and other cool prizes.  Each week one of our students also receives a $5 STUCO gift card through the Pirate Code “Attendance Games” initiative; students that have 90% attendance or higher are automatically entered into this weekly drawing.  Other cool Pirate Code incentives include the “No Tardy Party” at the end of each semester for students that have zero tardies and our catered Staff/Student Luncheon that takes place each spring.  Winners are announced each Friday morning.  Listen up; you could be our next winner!!  Prizes are picked up in Dr. Dobrinic's office.  Staff, please remember to hand out those Pirate Code tickets!!!!
