HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH:  September 15 to October 15 marks Hispanic Heritage Month.  It is important to take this time to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the group's heritage and culture.
The First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death, Eva Perón ran the Ministries of Labor and Health, championed women's suffrage and labor rights, and established and ran the Eva Perón Foundation.  The Ministry of Health's headquarters is located in the center of Buenos Aires.  To honor her achievements, her face is shown on both the North and South sides of the building.

HOMECOMING DANCE GUEST PERMISSION FORMS are available in the Activities Office.  Today, September 28 is the last day to pick up a form; guest forms will not be available next week.

TODAY (September 28) IS THE LAST DAY TO ORDER SENIOR HOODIES.  Order forms can be found in G214 or in Dr. Dobrinic's Office.  Forms should be delivered to Dr. Fitzgerald's office in G214.  If at this time you cannot afford a Senior Hoodie and want one, speak with Dr. Fitzgerald.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  National SCIENCE Honor Society applications are due today, September 28.  See Ms. Schaeffer with any questions.

PETE'S CLOSET:  When taking items from Pete's Closet, please write down how many items you take!  Everything is FREE.  Today's special is scarves and gloves!

THE FITNESS CENTER, WEIGHT ROOM, LIBRARY AND HELP CENTERS are closed on Fridays after school.  4:15 activity buses do not run on Fridays; there is only a 5:00 athletic/activity bus.

SENIORS:  The deadline to enroll in the A+ Program is Monday, October 1.  Come to the A+ Office, E200, for your enrollment form.

PATTONVILLE OFFERS ACT REVIEW CLASSES to PHS students preparing for the ACT Exam.  Take advantage of this FREE opportunity and attend classes now for the October 27 test.  The next English ACT Review class will be held on Monday, October 1 in room B115 and the next Math ACT Review class will be held on Tuesday, October 2 in room H215.  Both classes meet from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

JUNIORS INTERESTED IN TAKING THE ACT, SAT OR ACT WORK KEYS FOR FREE, stop by and see Ms. Patrick in the Guidance Office.

THERE WILL BE AN INTERNATIONAL CLUB MEETING Monday, October 1 after school in room D201.  All are welcome to attend.

AFRICAN AMERICAN ACHIEVERS SOCIETY (TRIPLE A) will meet on Monday, October 1 from 2:30-4:00pm in room H215.  New and returning members are welcomed!

FAFSA FRENZY ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2:  SENIORS, sign-up for the FAFSA Frenzy to get expert help applying for financial aid; sign-up on Naviance or see Mrs. Luraschi.

HOMECOMING DANCE TICKETS are on sale in the Students Commons today during all lunch sessions.  Ticket price is $15.  In order to purchase a ticket, you must have your ID, all fines paid, and 90% attendance.

FOR HOMECOMING ATTENDANCE APPEALS, contact your principal; appeals end on Thursday, October 4.

NORTH TECH IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for students that are interested in attending.  If you are a student that would like to begin focusing on a career direction, complete an application at northtechnical.org or even come to the North Tech Open House at 1700 Derhake Road in Florissant on October 25 from 4:30-7:00pm.  Talk to your guidance counselor if you have further questions.
