HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH:  September 15 to October 15 marks Hispanic Heritage Month.  It is important to take this time to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the group's heritage and culture.
Venezuelan-born and internationally recognized fashion designer Carolina Herrera has designed elegant clothes for everyone from First Ladies Jacqueline Kennedy, Michelle Obama, and Melania Trump to style icons like Bianca Jagger and Duchess Diana de Melo.  Herrera is a recipient of The International Center in New York's Award of Excellence as well as Spain's Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts, which was presented to her in 2002 by King Juan Carlos I.


AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING IN THE LIBRARY is canceled today, October 9 due to a faculty meeting.  THE MATH HELP CENTER will also be closed.

DETENTIONS will be held in the ISS room, G201, after school today, October 9 due to the faculty meeting in the Cafeteria.

FCA WILL NOT BE MEETING THIS WEEK, but will meet again next Tuesday, October 16 at 6pm.

THE NEXT MATH ACT REVIEW CLASS will be held tomorrow evening, October 10 from 6-8pm in room H215.

JUNIORS INTERESTED IN TAKING THE ACT, SAT OR ACT WORK KEYS FOR FREE, stop by and see Ms. Patrick in the Guidance Office.

ORDER GRADUATION ITEMS in the Main Gym lobby during lunch tomorrow, October 10 and Thursday, October 11.  Order packets are available in Mr. Thompson's office and the Activities Office.

THERE WILL BE A HOSA MEETING after school in F210 tomorrow, October 10.

WATERWAY IS GIVING FREE EXPRESS CAR WASHES TO STUDENTS every Saturday and Sunday for the months of October and November.  Just show your student ID.

NORTH TECH is currently accepting applications for students that are interested in attending.  If you are a student that would like to begin focusing on a career direction, complete an application at or even come to the North Tech Open House on Thursday, October 25 from 4:30-7:00pm at 1700 Derhake Road in Florissant.  Talk to your guidance counselor if you have further questions.
