Spring Break for Students
Spring Break for Students
Wednesday, March 18, 2020
SPRING BREAK FOR PATTONVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS IS MARCH 18TH-MARCH 27TH. Communications to families regarding distance learning from March 30th-April 3rd will be provided soon. The PHS Website will be used for disseminating information as well as all district and building social media channels. Starting March 28th, students should be regularly checking their Pattonville Gmail for communications from their teachers and notifications from their digital learning platforms. But we do want our students to try to enjoy the break, rest, and relax.

We are asking all staff and students to follow all CDC guidelines and recommendations regarding handwashing and social distancing to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Again, we just want to say to our students... "We love you. It will be okay. We're an email away!" #villemade

As per a previous letter from Dr. Pecoraro:
"As families and staff embark on an extended leave from school, we know many families and staff had plans to travel over spring break. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provides guidance for travel, including visiting places that have experienced community spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Please review and follow these guidelines as you travel and return from travel, as some areas with a high risk of transmission may require a 14-day quarantine upon return. The CDC travel advisories change frequently, so please check back often if you do decide to travel in the U.S. or elsewhere. If you have questions upon return from travel, contact the St. Louis County Health Department hotline at (314) 615-2660.

We also encourage everyone to take steps to protect themselves from illness by following these important CDC guidelines, which include:
  • Avoid close contact with other people.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with sick people.
  • Stay home if you’re sick and contact your medical provider by phone.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow."
