Meet the instructional leaders who help shape the environment of Pattonville High School. From school climate to the wealth of activities; from the collaboration with teachers to the relationships with students; these are the people who carry on the Pattonville mission "That ALL Will Learn."
  

 Ms. Ashford, Principal

Ms. Ashford previously served as Pattonville’s director of student services. Prior to taking on a district leadership role, she served as principal of Holman Middle School for eight years. She also worked as an assistant principal at Pattonville Heights Middle School and a science teacher at Holman and the high school. Ashford also taught middle school science in the Hazelwood School District. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). Ashford is also a 2021 candidate for a specialist’s degree in educational leadership and a doctorate degree in educational leadership and policy studies, both from UMSL.

In addition to leading several committees, Ms. Ashford oversees the Social Studies department, TV & Video Production, and all department leaders.

Mr. Grimshaw picture Mr. Grimshaw, Associate Principal (Seniors)

In 2012 Mr. Grimshaw joined the administrative team as an assistant principal.  Dating back to 2001, Mr. Grimshaw began his career at Pattonville as a social studies teacher in Positive School. By the fall of 2005 he transitioned to the high school and taught world history and AP European history. In addition to his work in the classroom, he also spent a period of time coaching baseball and football. Mr. Grimshaw holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Westminster College, a master's degree in secondary administration from William Woods University, and an education specialist in administration degree from William Woods University. His wife, Denise, is a physical education teacher at Remington Traditional School.
 

Mr. Grimshaw oversees all PHS Seniors, as well as the Counseling department, Career & College Counseling Center, PE/Health departments, and the Modern Language departments.

Dr. Fitzgerald picture Dr. Fitzgerald, Assistant Principal

Dr. Jon Fitzgerald was hired as an Assistant Principal at Pattonville High School in 2012. Mr. Fitzgerald previously worked in Pattonville as a Social Studies teacher at the High School as well as an Administrative Intern. He previously served as a Middle School Social Studies teacher in the Saint Louis Public School District. Mr. Fitzgerald holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education in Social Studies from Southeast Missouri State University, a master's degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Maryville University.
 
Administrative duties include:  Career and Technical Education department, Technology Help Center, Biomedical Sciences, and Positive School.

Dr. Manahan picture Dr. Manahan, Assistant Principal (A-G)

Dr. Rosalyn Manahan ihas been an assistant principal at Pattonville High School since 2019, but she is not new to the Pattonville School District family.  Dr. Manahan attended Willowbrook Elementary, Pattonville Heights, and is an alumni of Pattonville High School Class of '94.  Dr. Manahan received her master’s degree from Lindenwood University, and received her doctoral degree in educational leadership from Maryville University.  Prior to joining us, she was a teacher and administrator for the Hazelwood School District for 20 years.
 
Administrative duties include: students with the last names in the A-G alphabet range, Sophomore Class Liaison, Care Team/ Trauma - Informed Coordinator, Science department, and Band/Orchestra/Choir

Dr. Burns picture Dr. Burns, Assistant Principal (H-O)

Dr. Dana Burns joined the administrative team as assistant principal in 2017. She taught Biology at PHS for 10 years where she also chaired the Science department. Dr. Burns holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Illinois State University, a master's degree in teaching, a specialist degree in administration from Lindenwood University, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Lindenwood University.
 
Administrative duties include: students with the last names in the H-O alphabet range, Freshman Class Liaison, EL department, English Language Arts department, Gifted Education, Library, Speech & Debate, and Theater. She is also the professional development coordinator.

Mr. Beucke picture Mr. Beucke, Assistant Principal (P-Z)

Jared Beucke is a new assistant principal at Pattonville High School in the 22-23 School year  Mr. Beucke worked in the Hazelwood School District for the past 17 years, the last 11 as an administrator.  Most recently, he served as the Associate Principal at Hazelwood West High School.  Before administration, he was a social studies teacher at Hazelwood Central High School, where he also coached basketball.  Mr. Beucke holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a master’s degree in secondary administration from Lindenwood University, and an education specialist degree from Lindenwood University.
 
Administrative duties include:  students with last names in the P-Z alphabet range, Junior Class liaison, Fine Arts, and Math departments.

Mr. Sellers picture Mr. Sellers, Activities Director

Jason Sellers was selected as activities director at Pattonville High School in 2020.  Before becoming activities director, Sellers was the Physical Education Department Chair and Girls Soccer Coach at PHS.  He also served as the Class 4 State Rep/ Board Member- MSHSSCA and Midwest Regional Chair- United Soccer Coaches. Prior to coming to Pattonville, Sellers taught physical education in the Hazelwood School District for 15 years. He holds a bachelor’s in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a master's in Sport Management from Missouri Baptist University,  and is a certified athletic administrator.
 
Mr. Sellers oversees all of the activities and athletics at Pattonville High School.

Leigh Ann Richelman, SSD Coordinator

Leigh Ann Richelman has been an area coordinator for Special School District in Pattonville since 2014. Prior to coming to Special School District and Pattonville, Ms. Richelman was a co-director of special education in the West Frankfort District (IL), an assistant director of special education at Kaskaskia Special Education District (IL), and a Technical Assistant Supervisor for Tri-county Special School District (IL). Ms. Richelman has also been a teacher for students with disabilities at the secondary level for eight years and the elementary level for five years. She received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.

Ms. Richelman currently coordinates and supervises all of the special education services at Pattonville High School.
